From the moment Justin joined ABL in late 2023, he made an unforgettable impact. Hired for shutdown work, he quickly gained recognition for his exceptional work ethic, drive, and enthusiasm. Supervisors and colleagues at his jobsite repeatedly praised his dedication, making it clear that Justin was a standout employee from day one. His willingness to take on any job, in any area, with a positive attitude has solidified his reputation as one of ABL’s top-performing team members.
Justin’s rapid progression within ABL is a testament to his hard work and commitment. Shortly after starting, he became a trained Confined Space Attendant (CSA) and is now one of the company’s top CSAs, ensuring that new trainees feel confident in their roles. He has also taken on leadership responsibilities in his department, and is cross-trained for multiple positions, demonstrating his versatility and reliability in a variety of challenging work environments. Known for his attention to detail, Justin has a reputation for tackling the dirtiest jobs and still showing up the next day with spotless boots—an amusing but powerful symbol of his dedication and professionalism.
Beyond his technical skills, Justin is known for his infectious energy and ability to uplift those around him. Whether he’s motivating his team on-site or sharing his appreciation for ABL with others, his enthusiasm is contagious. He speaks highly of the company and the support it has provided him, both professionally and personally. In early 2024, Justin and his wife welcomed their first child, a milestone he was thrilled to share with the ABL team. He has been working tirelessly to support his family, including helping fund his wife’s education, further showcasing his deep sense of responsibility and dedication.

2025 Runner Up: Saikat – A Story of Transformation, Dedication, and Innovation!
Saikat’s journey with ABL is a testament to hard work, adaptability, and the power of seizing opportunities. Originally hired for a data entry role, he quickly demonstrated his technical expertise and problem-solving mindset, leading to a remarkable transformation into an IT specialist. His contributions have significantly improved internal operations, driving meaningful advancements in automation and efficiency.
With nearly 600 hours of dedicated work, Saikat has maintained perfect attendance, showcasing his discipline and dependability. His career growth has been nothing short of impressive—starting in an entry-level role, he proactively upskilled, transitioning into programming and IT solutions development. One of his most impactful contributions has been the development of an online form system, replacing manual data entry with a streamlined digital workflow that enhances both accuracy and efficiency. Recognized for his analytical mindset, Saikat is now leading the development of a comprehensive KPI dashboard that integrates performance data across multiple departments, further optimizing business processes.

Hundreds of nominations are made every year for actions both big and small, around a dozen are presented to the entire ABL team to vote on to determine the 3 “finalists”. Those 3 stories are then shared with our clients, community partners, and the general public, who are asked to select their favourite story.
